At this page, we will learn both how to create new page and how to use template application of Dreamweaver. We will use template application to create new pages. Let's start with the template application, what is it, how it will ease our work.

Dreamweaver Template Application

Template application lets us make changes in multiple web pages at the same time. Assume that you built a website which has one hundred web pages. One year later, you wanted to change "Copyright 2011" text to "Copyright 2012". To do that, you should open each page and retype the text one by one. If you had used template application, you could have made these changes in a few seconds.

How Template Application Works

A web page, which does not contain any content, is made template. Editable regions are inserted into this template. New web pages are created by using this template and when a change is made at the outside of editable regions on the template, same changes are applied automatically to the pages which are created by template.
